Composer

Meaning

Composer is the standard dependency manager for PHP, used to declare the libraries a project needs and install them. Its own documentation says it manages them per project, installing them in a vendor directory inside the project rather than globally, and it can also create an autoloader so classes load automatically. Packagist is the main public directory where Composer packages are found. Learning Composer is an important milestone, because modern frameworks and most professional PHP projects are built around it.
